Days 01 through 10
I started the Camino Santiago walk in 2018 in France in the little town of Saint Jean Pied de Port. See map below. The first part of the hike crossed the Pyrenees mountains into Spain. Three days later I was in Pamplona, the town famous for the running of the bulls. After 10 days I reached Najera. I completed 125 miles of the 500 mile pilgrimage. My intention is to return to Najera, and continue the walk from where I left off. I am allowing a month to get to Santiago de Compostela. I will be walking west every day, starting at sunrise and stopping at remote medieval looking little Spanish villages and towns, staying mostly at albergues, which are hostel type accommodation specifically for pilgrims. The route is marked with yellow arrows. There is a greeting we use when meeting other pilgrims “Buen Camino”. Go to the menu of this website to find more about the Camino including YouTube videos.
Hi,Max, I’m going to follow you through this venture and live vicariously through you if you don’t mind. This is incredible.
